The 36-year-old Philadelphia Wings assistant coach led Canada to a silver medal last summer, his fourth time on the national team, after winning gold in 2006 in London, Ontario. His story of battling back to make Team Canada last year was truly remarkable. He actually skipped a round of chemotherapy to play for Canada in England.
Be sure to follow along with Chris’ journal for more information. You can also wish him well at IL’s Wingszone.com/nllmb message board. And you can donate in his name for the April 29 American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Best of luck to Chris and his family next week.
