Tim Campeau Tim Campeau

Tim Campeau graduated from the Coquitlam Junior Adanacs directly onto the Senior Adanac roster as the Adanacs’ first pick in the WLA draft. He first played lacrosse in Port Moody at age five and played on the provincial gold-medal winning Midget AA squad before joining the Coquitlam Intermediate A’s. In three years of junior lacrosse Tim was team scoring leader one season and selected a second team All-Star. He enjoyed those years and says, “Blink and your junior career is gone.” Tim’s Junior “A” scoring stats for 2004 and 2005 included 39 goals and 74 assists for 113 points and 99 PIM in 40 games. He’s had a good WLA start with 45 goals and 44 assists for 89 points and 35 PIM in 50 games through last season.

Tim graduated with a business degree concentrating in marketing and management from NDNU in San Francisco where he attended on a field lacrosse scholarship. He was a two-time captain and MVP, while being named school male athlete of the year in his senior year. Tim registered 65 goals, 87 assists for 152 points while leading his team to a 22-5 record in his last two years. He loved “The City”, especially the bridges, Fisherman’s Wharf, the culture, the views, Half Moon Bay and taking BART to Berkeley and Palo Alto.

Tim just returned from his rookie season in the NLL with the Portland Lumberjax. After being selected 12th overall in the NLL draft, he did not disappoint, scoring an impressive 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points plus 28 loose balls and only 10 PIM in 11 games. He said, “I was just happy to contribute. I felt that I became a valuable part of the team as the season progressed.” He got quite involved in coaching school lacrosse and loves the Rose City but Vancouver remains his go-to place.

He says, “My girlfriend, family and friends are what make this home.” Tim and his girlfriend Shannon have been together for five years. Shannon is completing the PDP program (education) at S. F. U. Tim has two great siblings, an older sister and younger brother. He describes his parents as “my biggest fans”.

Tim’s other sports interests include hockey and tennis, but he says that he follows all sports and is a little bit of a “Sports Junkie." He has an eclectic taste in music but mostly favors classic rock and new rock including The Killers and the Kings of Leon. He’s given up rap music since he “grew up”.

Tim says he loves watching John Tavares and Josh Sanderson for inspiration and adds that the person most influential in his lacrosse career was his grandfather, Bob Morrison, who got him involved in this great game.
